#APASX - 7 years, 9 shows, and the sexiness continues...

Good morning Reader,

I am writing you with sore ankles and knees, my body is screaming at me to go back to bed, in essence, I - AM - TIRED. But I must get this out before I take some more time to rest or get to my daily routine, whichever comes first.

Sunday night was A-MAZING! Pure madness was going on onstage at the Cabaret du Mile End!

Okay - Okay - Okay... For those of you who don't know me yet, wondering "What is this dude talking about???" Lemme set it up for you.

In my previous blog I told y'all that I am a producer, poet, etc... Well, one of the shows I produce concurrently in MontrĂ©al is: the Art of Performing Aural Sex A.K.A. #APASX. If you hashtag search twitter, instagram, facebook you will find everything pertaining to the show, youtube searches here. This is one of the sexiest, most beautifulest, delicious, delectable, gorgeous shows you can ever attend in this city!

This event began in one of the offices of the Concordia Student Union with a group of young minds that, to me, were like-minded. I.E. Forward thinking, artistic, enthusiastic and open to new possibilities. I asked them for their help, and they joined in the journey. People have come and gone from the Madpoetix group, but it still lives on.

7 years later... 9 shows in... I must say, I am reaching my high...

Tension built as the day of the show was closing in...

2 weeks before the show, barely any tickets sold... MontrĂ©alers and your last minute bloody purchases! Y'all kill me! One ticket would sell here, two tickets there, despair was beginning to set in... Then the calls, texts, instagram messages (yes people linked me on instagram), emails, tweets, just started to storm into my phone. I think to date my largest purchase was 16 tickets in one shot via EMT. It blew me away! People were clamouring for the show!  My performers were already locked and ready for action, I never really worry about them.

I teamed up with my regulars peeps Osmond Williams of DJ Digital Movements and Rosie Veeren, my right hand lady. Then I made some additions to the behind the scenes team, bringing in 2Republic Events to help accentuate the stage and the venue in general. The combined forces of a professional Event Coordinator and my right hand lady bringing their minds together created an ambiance that set the right tone for this 9th Edition.

The stage was sexy...

Flowers decorated tables encircled with sweet lollipops...

Jars filled with jelly-beans for that sweet-tooth craving...

Yeah... The entire setting was just... Mmmh! If you weren't there! You just missed it!

I can admit, there was so much in my mind saying, this is it Kym... This is the last Hurrah... But the way things went... I am just beginning.

Keep it locked!

I'll see you on the other side
